These mats are for use in interior areas such as:

Laying the mat is very simple because the interlocking edges of the individual mats result in a nearly closed surface (can be cut to size with commercially available circular saws).

This has the advantage that urine and other liquids do not penetrate under the mats. In addition, the stable floor can be cleaned very easily and quickly.

Still lay down bedding!

We recommend HIPPO-GOLD because it is extremely absorbent and soiled portions are very easy to remove.

A note about the material:

We do not use rubber for our mats, i.e., we do NOT produce or sell rubber mats. This is particularly important because nearly all joints in the horse’s locomotor system are hinge joints, and rotary motions, especially when decelerated by rubber linings, are damaging in the long run.

The mat can also be used as a wall liner and tread or kick protector.

If you only rent the stable or box and you aren’t sure whether you will be staying, the mats can be removed whenever you choose.

In addition, we do not alter the mats’ dimensions – you can always expand or modify the covered areas.
